Warnock’s Bluebirds to fly to victory on Tuesday
Aron Gunnarsson is out with an ongoing knee issue while Craig Bryson and Matthew Connolly are doubts for Neil Warnock’s Cardiff.
Midfielder Darren Pratley is still on the sidelines with a leg injury for Phil Parkinson’s Bolton.

Since losing four in a row over the festive period, Cardiff have struck back well by taking eight points from their last four Championship matches, with three of those being away from home. After beating Leeds 4-1 at Elland Road, the Bluebirds earned a solid 1-1 draw with Millwall at the Den last Friday night. Cardiff will be looking for a home win on Tuesday to stay on the heels of Derby and Aston Villa.
Bolton are undefeated in three having drawn with Ipswich and Fulham and beaten Bristol City. Last weekend, Adam Le Fondre’s wonder goal was enough to seal an excellent 1-1 draw with in-form Fulham at the Macron Stadium. The Trotters have lifted themselves out of the relegation zone in recent weeks and are now sitting in 19th.
When these two met at the Macron Stadium a couple of days before Christmas, the Trotters beat the Bluebirds 2-0, with Cardiff’s 6m pound January signing Gary Madine scoring Bolton’s first. However, with Madine in the Cardiff side now, I fancy the hosts to nick this one. Back Cardiff to prevail on Tuesday.
Cardiff have scored 13 goals in their last six league and cup matches. I fancy the Bluebirds to add two more to their tally in a 2-0 home win in midweek.
Cardiff have won two and lost three of the last five meetings between the two.
