In-form Emmen to post another good result
Go Ahead Eagles are missing two players, in the form of defenders Joey Groenbast, who is a doubt, and Rick Ketting.
Emmen’s Keziah Veendorp is set to return after completing a suspension. Henk Bos has also been cleared to play after concerns over his match fitness.

Go Ahead Eagles, who were relegated from the Netherlands’ top flight last season, have experienced a testing campaign in the Jupiler League and are sitting in 16th place. They have managed only five victories so far and booked their seventh away loss in a row last Friday when they were beaten 2-1 at Cambuur. On a positive note, at least Bruno Andrade came off the bench to score his first goal in his second appearance last time out, but Go Ahead have now allowed 42 goals in their 23 league matches.
Emmen have been doing rather well of late and after beating Fortuna Sittard in their last January fixture, they also managed to dispatch second-placed NEC Nijmegen via a 1-0 victory last Friday. Alexander Bannink scored nine minutes after kick-off and the side missed plenty of good opportunities later on during the match. Having lost just one in their last 11 games, Emmen have now climbed into sixth place.
I can see Emmen taking the points. They are in form and looked great against Fortuna and NEC – in contrast to a struggling Go Ahead side. Furthermore, the away side have won their last three straight while Go Ahead have won only once in their past 12 league matches. I predict an away victory.
Go Ahead Eagles have allowed 15 goals in their past six games, an average of 2.5 per game. Emmen, meanwhile, have scored exactly two in four of their last six matches. I can see this match finishing 2-0 for the visitors.
The last two meetings between these teams have been scoreless, but Emmen won the two prior to that, both at home.
