MATCH PREVIEW
MAIN PREDICTION: HAD Tijuana (+1) AWAY WIN

Pachuca secured an away win to Veracruz on Sunday with the sole goal coming from a spectacular Erick Gutierrez header in the 35th minute. Having secured only seven points from six games, they will need to be far more consistent going forward and their recent home form is a worry as they have won only two of their last seven league games in front of their own fans.
Tijuana were beaten 2-0 by Queretaro at home on Friday. Diego Cocca’s side were reduced to only nine men in the second half, when both goals were conceded, with Pablo Aguilar and Miler Bolanos sent off. However, on a positive note, this was only Tijuana’s first loss of the season, after starting the Clausura unbeaten with two wins and three draws. They have now won nine points from their opening six games and will still be hoping for a place in the playoffs.
Tijuana may not have impressed on their travels recently, with their last league win dating back to mid-October, but they have at least drawn their last three while Pachuca have lost three of their last four at home. I expect the visitors to edge this, I will back Tijuana on the +1 market here.

SECOND PREDICTION: CORRECT SCORE – 0-1

Tijuana have kept a clean sheet against their last three away opponents, Cruz Azul, Monterrey and Santos Laguna. Given their defensive confidence, the team will probably look to press the home side early and then sit back and defend. Pachuca have also lost by a single goal in three out of four encounters at home. With Tijuana managing only three goals in their first six Clausura games, I predict a narrow 1-0 win for the visitors.

HEAD TO HEAD
Pachuca have won three and lost two of their last seven matches against Tijuana. They beat Tijuana 4-0 when the teams faced last August.
